Every year we get requests from our customers to expand our selection of premium moccasins - those made from game hides such as elk buffalo and even moose. There are several benefits to using these premium hides: They're incredibly durable they're incredibly comfortable (the elk especially) and they feel like they're broken in the first time you put them on - with no painful binding or pinching. This new introduction part of our "Select" line of moccasins is called "Sable and it's modeled after our highly successful Hot Chocolate which has been a part of our line for the past two years. The sole, in a medium reddish-brown color, is made of a thick shrunken buffalo hide; the shrinking, which is done during the tanning process, results in a hide that's incredibly dense and durable with incredible grain patterns. This leather is perfect for soles - adding stability, durability and long-lasting wear. The upper is made of the most soft/supple elk in a coordinating color. This canoe-style moccasin is a classic and it offers a great barefoot feel. These can be worn year round in warmer climates and they are perfect for spring through fall in northern climates. We suggest wearing them with just about anything, including jeans, capris, khakis, leggings or short skirts. These undoubtedly will end up being your most comfortable pair of footwear ever!
